Royalty-free commercial license
Tracks generated on Creator, Studio, and Label tiers are yours. Perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free. No attribution required. No per-stream fees. No surprise royalty letters later. Use them anywhere, including paid work.
Personal use only
Free-tier preview tracks are for personal evaluation only — share with friends, use as a placeholder, learn the tool. Not for monetized content, client work, or commercial release. Upgrade to Creator to unlock commercial rights on any track you've made.

What you can't do (any tier)
- Reselling raw .wav / .mp3 files as a stock-music library on its own
- Training other AI models on songstab outputs
- Claiming songstab's brand name or logo as your own
- Hate speech, illegal content, or anything depicting real persons without consent
Ownership & copyright
Songstab grants you, the paid-tier creator of a track, an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, distribute, perform, and create derivative works from the audio file generated by your prompt. You may register the track with collection societies (ASCAP, BMI, PRS, etc.) under your name.
Songstab retains the underlying intellectual property in the model, the generation pipeline, and aggregated training data. We do not claim ownership of your prompt or the specific audio file your prompt produced. Identical or near-identical outputs that arise from common prompts may be generated for other users — exclusivity is not guaranteed and not implied.
Refunds & cancellation
- Cancel anytime from the customer portal — your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Full refund within 7 days of first paid invoice, no questions asked.
- Annual plans: pro-rata refund for unused months if cancelled within 30 days.
- To request a refund, email hello@songstab.com with your invoice email — response within 1 business day.
Training data
Songstab generates audio using third-party models (currently fal.ai Lyria 2 and ElevenLabs Music) under their respective commercial licenses. We do not train our own foundation models on copyrighted audio. Our role is the prompt interface, mastering pipeline, cover-art layer, and rights management. If you believe a generation infringes on existing copyright, please email dmca@songstab.com with the relevant track ID and we'll investigate within 5 business days.
Changes to this license
Tracks generated under the license version in effect at the time of generation keep that license forever, even if we update the terms later. New terms only apply to new generations. We'll post a notice in the dashboard and on this page when terms change.
